   Oil

Any of many mineral, vegetable, and synthetic substances and animal and vegetable fats that are generally slippery, combustible, viscous, liquid or liquefiable at room temperatures, soluble in various organic solvents such as ether but not in water, and used in a great variety of products, especially lubricants and fuels.

   Steam

Water in a gaseous state at a temperature above its boiling point.

Regulator Type

   Your choices are...

   Back Pressure Regulators

Back pressure regulators control upstream (inlet) pressure. They function similarly to relief valves.

   Change Over Regulators

Change over regulators are combination valves and pressure regulators, fitted to a multiple-cylinder assembly that will automatically change over from a cylinder in use to a reserve cylinder at a predetermined pressure.

   Differential / Bias Regulators

Differential pressure regulators, or bias pressure regulators, maintain constant differential pressure between a reference pressure and the pressure of the controlled fluid.

   Filter, Regulator, Lubricator Assembly (FRL)

Filter, regulator, lubricators (FRL) are pre-packaged or modular assemblies of common configurations of air filters, regulators, lubricators and gauges.

   Point of Use Regulators

Point of use regulators are installed directly into fluid lines.  They are single stage regulators that are used to provide point-of-use pressure monitoring and control. Point of use regulators are often referred to as line regulators.

   Pressure Reducing Regulators

Pressure-reducing regulators are used to provide a sub-circuit with a supply of fluid at a pressure that is less than the pressure in the main circuit.

   Two Stage Regulators

Two-stage gas regulators reduce cylinder pressure in two steps and should be used when constant delivery pressure is needed without periodic adjustment.

   Vacuum / Absolute Pressure Regulators

Vacuum or absolute pressure regulators control fluid at low positive pressures or below atmospheric pressure (absolute pressure).

   Other

Other unlisted, specialized, or proprietary regulators.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Specifications

   Regulator Size

Designated size of the regulator by manufacturer.  Typically represents the size of the passage opening.

Maximum safe pressure value for which the valve is rated.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Flow (Cv)

The valve flow coefficient is the number of U.S. gallons per minute of 60 degree F water that will flow through a valve at a specified opening with a pressure drop of 1 psi across the valve. It is used to predict flow rates.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Actuation
   Your choices are...

   Manual / Hand

The valve is actuated (opened or closed) via a hand operated wheel or crank.

   Mechanical Device

A mechanical device such as a float or cam activates the valve. This does not include powered actuators.

   Electric

An electric actuator activates the valve.

   Electro-hydraulic

A servo valve that produces hydraulic control in response to an electrical signal input.

   Electro-pneumatic

A servo valve that produces pneumatic control in response to an electrical signal input.

   Pilot Operated

A pilot valve activates the valve.

   Pneumatic

The valve is activated by a pneumatic actuator or cylinder to open and close valve.

   Thermally Actuated

The valve is activated by a change in temperature in the handled media. Typically, temperature and pressure relief occurs once a preset temperature is reached.

   Other
