Fitting Ports

	All Ports Same Type		All fitting ports are of the same style. Note: this includes reducers that change in size but have consistent port type, e.g. 1/4" x 1/4" x 3/8" Male NPT Tee.
	Multiple Port Type / Adapter		Fitting has ports of different styles, as in male and female threads, different thread types, push-on-to-barb adapter, etc.

	SAE 45° Male		SAE thread with a 45° chamfer on the nose of the male thread.
	SAE 45° Female		SAE female thread with a 45° chamfer to mate with the nose of the male thread.
	JIC 37° Male		SAE / JIC thread with a 37° chamfer on the nose of the male thread.
	JIC 37° Female		SAE / JIC female thread with a 37° chamfer to mate with the nose of the male thread.
	Face Seal Male		Face seals typically incorporate o-rings that mate against the face of the opposite connector to form a seal. Depending on the standard, the o-ring may be on the nose of the male threaded connector, or behind the male thread on the face of the backing nut.
	Face Seal Female		Female thread to mate with a male thread and o-ring seal.
	Cam-Lock Male		Male end or insert of a cam-lock hose fitting; usually locked or secured with tabs that fold down after insertion.
	Cam-Lock Female		Female end or coupler of a cam-lock hose fitting; usually locks over the insert with tabs that fold down after insertion.
	Straight Thread Male		Any male straight thread end of English design, such as UNC, UNF, etc.
	Straight Thread Female		Any female straight thread end of English design such as UNC, UNF, etc.
	Metric Thread Male		Any metric male thread.
	Metric Thread Female		Any female metric thread.
	Compression Fitting		A compression fitting tightens down a sleeve or ferrule over a joint to prevent leakage.
	Crimp		Hose is placed over a tubular end and crimped against it with a sleeve or crimp socket.
	Flange		Hose end adapts to flange for mounting to pipe, bulkhead, or other fitting.
	Pipe		Hose end adapts to pipe size, for attachment, insertion, or welding to pipe fitting.
	Tube Port		Hose end adapts to tubing port.
	Other		Any unlisted hose connection.
