seepex has released a new integrated drive for its popular line of MD and BW progressive cavity pumps. The drive integrates the pumps with a single reduction gear reducer, a four-pole, TEFC, inverter-rated ½ HP electric induction motor and a "vector" type, variable frequency drive in a NEMA 4 enclosure. They have no valves, do not pulsate and will not gas lock. They pump viscosities from <1 to 100,000 cPs at temperatures to 350°F. Most of the 11 models including titanium are available from stock. (read more)

New BTM Chopper Pump Features Secondary Cutter

seepex, Inc. has developed a new type of open hopper, range BTM, progressive cavity pump which can chop or cut fruits, vegetables or fibrous materials and simultaneously pump them. Available in stainless steel, it can shred and pump certain materials such as potatoes, apples and most citrus fruits without needing additional fluids. (read more)

CIP-able Pump Features Patented New Joint

The seepex CIP-able BCSO model has a new, patented universal joint. The new BCSO allows for higher pressures and flows: up to 500 gpm @90 psi and up to 150 gpm @360 psi. It meets 3-A standards.

Block Pumps for DAF Thickening

seepex BN range pumps with 6-L geometry are especially suited to the dissolved air flotation (DAF) process because they won't air lock, flow rates of differing density fluids can by easily controlled and regulated, and their low shear rate won't damage chemical flocculant additives. seepex BN range progressive cavity pumps can help to reduce moisture and fluid. seepex introduces a line of "wobble-stator" pumps for general and commercial pumping applications. This design significantly reduces the price of progressive cavity pumps and repair parts. Stators with white elastomers are now available for seepex progressive cavity pumps. The stators are made with a kaolin (China Clay) binder, rather than the traditional carbon black binder. All of the ingredients used in these stators are on the FDA approved materials list ( CFR 21, sect. 177.2600). White compounds are available with NBR (Buna), CSM (Hypalon®) and EPDM base polymers. Stators with equal thickness rubber walls are now available for seepex progressive cavity pumps. The stators are made with a revolutionary procedure that uses a metal tube hydraulically bent into a double helix. This is the same shape as the helix that forms the cavity inside the pumping element. This makes the thickness of the rubber in the stator constant. (read more)

seepex TSE Dry-Run Protection

The seepex TSE protects against dry run damage, the most common cause of progressive cavity pump failure. Friction between rotor and stator resulting from an unexpected loss of lubricating liquid can destroy a stator, resulting in unexpected production shut downs and costly repairs. Intrinsically safe models are available for hazardous areas. (read more)

The seepex stator retensioning device was designed to dramatically increase stator longevity, critical especially in abrasive applications.

The device consists of an adjustable stainless steel sleeve with an internal rubber lining and a series of adjusting bolts. (read more)

seepex, Inc. introduces version 2.0 of its popular application CD. More pump drawings and curves are included, as are several new pump selection programs. Free Interactive Program Calculates Energy Savings

seepex has a new computer program that calculates the savings realized when users switch from an air-operated double diaphragm pump to an electrically operated progressive cavity (PC) pump. The program is available for personal computers running Microsoft Windows 98 or higher, or for PDAs that run Palm OS 3.1 or higher. (read more)
